The BATES XXST black Mid ESD S3S is a member of the aforementioned WELLMAXX STREET family; more precisely, it's a mid-cut version made of water-repellent microfiber. It features a predominantly black design with contrasting white accents and a good dose of sneaker-like cushioning. This is quite literal, as the midsole incorporates BASF's Infinergy® technology, which was first used in running shoes. A metal-free penetration-resistant midsole with recycled materials complements the design, providing protection against sharp edges and nails while remaining flexible and sporty enough to move with your foot. The lining is made of breathable textile, and the toecap is steel. The TPU/PU sole offers excellent slip resistance and is even SR-certified, meaning it provides more slip resistance than the basic requirements for safety shoes. Furthermore, the safety boot is FO-marked, meaning it is oil and fuel resistant, and it is also ESD-compliant. The high-cut safety boot can be ordered in sizes 35 to 48.
